Interior Design Thoughts

Interior design is usually done by the home owner himself, or rather by his wife. However, if you want to build something really outstanding you’d better discuss your ideas with an interior designer. She can see from a glance if what you intend can be done and with what resources. She can tell you that iron balusters require special attention when installing the current hand, that they are heavy and add up to the total weight of the stairs, so you need to redo your resistance calculations. Of course you can explain the interior designer your wishes, and if you are keen on having a particular model of wrought iron balusters, then so be it, everything around the staircase can be designed to match it and make the room look as a whole.

There are so many materials and models nowadays for pretty much every building item, that it’s a pleasure to choose the bathroom tiles, the wooden floors or the iron chandeliers (in case you want to build something that elegant).

Windows Speak About Your Home

Maybe you know the saying the eyes are the windows of the soul. I don’t know how much truth there is in it, but I surely can tell that I judge houses by their windows. Windows have a double role: they let you see outside your home and they let the light enter your rooms. From both these perspectives windows have to be as large as possible, so you enjoy more landscape and more light.

However, the downside of having big windows when you live in crowded neighborhoods is that people can watch you inside your house. This is why most houses have windows shutters, shades, blinds and curtains, to keep the strangers’ eyes at a distance and preserve your privacy. Window blinds are of many types, some of them allowing you to obtain a really dark room, like the Bali wood blinds which are suitable for rooms where you want to do cinema projections.
